Back in the day, there was no one more desirable than Victoria’s Secret models, strutting the runway and looking like real-life angels while they do it. VS birthed some of the most iconic supermodels of all time, like Tyra, Heidi and Gisele. Even today, their legacy lives on. Here are the famous VS Angels of all time, from where they started out to where they are today.
1. Adriana Lima
When Adriana started out at 25 years old, everyone could recognize those piercing eyes from a mile away — and that Super Bowl commercial in 2008. Today, she’s 40 years old. Her most recent partner was Marko Jaric, to whom she was married from 2009-2016. Recently, she started dating producer Andre Lemmers, and in February, the couple announced they were pregnant. She showed off her bump at the Cannes Film Festival.
2. Naomi Campbell
One of the first African-American supermodels, Naomi was discovered in London at age 15. She walked for Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows from 1995-2009 but was also accused of being violent with assistants. Today, she’s cleaned up her act and has done TV acting in shows like “Empire” and “American Horror Story”. She’s also still modeling — she walked in a Versace tribute show in 2017 and signed her first beauty contract with NARS in 2019. At 52, she looks younger than ever and just became a mother!
3. Alessandra Ambrosio
Strutting her stuff at just 24 years old in 2004, Alessandra was one to watch, becoming the head of the VS brand’s Pink line when it came out. She retired from Victoria’s Secret runway in 2017. At only 12 years old, this Brazilian babe took her first modeling class. She wore the brand’s Fantasy Bra in 2012 and 2014. She shares two kids with her ex Jamie Mazur and is currently dating another model, Richard Lee.
4. Rosie Huntington Whiteley
Rosie started out at the tender age of 19. While she got her start with Levi’s she became an Angel in 2006 Today, her look is as elegant as ever. She’s been engaged to Jason Statham 2016, which is fitting since she’s acted in action movie franchises like “Transformers” and “Mad Max” they share two children together. Her most recent, Isabella, was born in 2022.
5. Tyra Banks
At only 17, the stunning Tyra Banked signed with Elite Management. After becoming the first Black woman to cover the “Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue”, VS quickly jumped to sign this tall beauty. She was one of the brand’s most famous models who launched a full-on career change after hosting “ANTM” and having a role in “Coyote Ugly”. Today, she’s still posing for Swimsuit Issue covers — and hosting “Dancing With the Stars”.
6. Gisele Bundchen
Victoria’s Secret sure has a track record of picking up gorgeous ladies from Brazil. When she was discovered at a McDonald’s at the age of 14, she never intended to model. However, she ended up on the cover of Vogue in 1999. She had a more curvy look than supermodels at the time, which led VS to hire her in 2000. She’s been with hubby Tom Brady since 2006. After retiring in 2015, she’s trying out producing. She was the executive producer of the 2019 agriculture documentary “Kiss the Ground.”
7. Miranda Kerr
Starting her career with Maybelline in 2004, Miranda got her wings after Gisele left in 2007. In 2009, she started her own skincare line called Kora Organics. She left Victoria’s Secret in 2013, around the same time that she split from Orlando Bloom. Today, she’s married to Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel, whom she shares two children with.
8. Heidi Klum
Heidi first landed multiple Vogue covers in the mid-1990s. Like many of her colleagues, she appeared on the cover of “Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition” before joining VS for their third show ever in 1997. She hosted for the following years, including 2006, 2006, 2007, and 2008. She seamlessly transitioned to TV hosting gigs, and many of us remember her from “Project Runway.” Today, she’s a proud mother of four and is married to a man 16 years her junior.
9. Candice Swanepoel
This South African model started out on a dairy farm in South Africa and worked for years as a solo model before working for VS. For Candice, the appeal was working with a group. In 2011, she officially earned her wings and a few years later in 2016, she became a mother. She returned to the runway just 8 months after giving birth. Today, she has her own swimwear line which aims to eradicate fast fashion.
10. Helena Christianson
One of the OG Victoria’s Secret models, Helena worked on the runway for major brands in the 1980s and 90s for brands like Hermes and Prada before working as a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 1997. She then moved on from modeling to becoming an in-demand photographer and even launched a clothing line in 2006. Recently, she’s returned to the runway, walking for Balmain in 2020 and Off White in 2022 for Paris Fashion Week.
